How to use Progress Writer

Getting started

Sign up or sign in— it's free!

Create a new project and enter a name, an end date, and a goal for your project. You can either set a daily goal or a goal for the whole project.

Once you've created a project, you can create a new entry for your project. Fill in how many words you wrote and, optionally, a description about your writing session. If you leave the date blank, we will assume you are entering information about the current date.

Your dashboard, will show all of your project, recent entries, and a graph mapping your progress on your goals.

For a project with a total word count, Progress Writer shows you your percentage of the entire goal. Your chart will progress in an upwards motion.

For a daily word count goal, Progress Writer shows you the percentage of the daily word goal you complete. The chart will reflect your daily writing ups and downs.
